With Christmas only a few weeks away it was great to get into the festive spirit by taking part in events across Erewash this weekend.
These included the League of Friends of Ilkeston Community Hospital’s Christmas Fayre, where I met Santa! Thank you to stall holders and the many Erewash residents who helped to make the Fayre so special. But particularly huge thanks to all the volunteers of the League of Friends of Ilkeston Community Hospital who once again put on a superb event.
As ever, it was a delight to join in the Sandiacre Parish Council’s carols around the tree. With local school children Hayden and Matilda switching on the Christmas Tree lights, the Sandiacre Male Voice Choir leading the singing of our favourite carols and mince pies for everyone, it was a lovely way to end a busy day.
With Erewash blanketed by snow on Sunday, it really is starting to feel a lot like Christmas!
