I am delighted to show my support for Erewash based family businesses during Family Business Week. Family firms, such as Goldbury in Ilkeston, are the backbone of the UK economy and the bedrock of our communities, however, the scale of their impact and contribution is often underestimated.
Family Business Week is designed to ensure the contribution family firms make to our economy and communities up and down the country is recognised and celebrated.
This year’s theme is celebrating ‘Future Leaders,’ championing the very best of the next generation of family businesses and looking ahead to those family business leaders of tomorrow.
I will continue to do whatever I can to support Erewash based family businesses in Parliament.
