This week in Parliament, I was pleased to back the Stroke Association’s report Thriving After Stroke.
This is an issue that is close to my heart as my father had a debilitating stroke that took away his ability to speak and walk independently. I am extremely grateful to the Stroke Association and NHS professionals who undertake some important work to support those who have suffered a stroke.
There are 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, including 1997 in Erewash and I will continue to support stroke survivors in whatever way that I can. More information about the Stroke Association can be found online here.
