Last week I met with a group of life science apprentices, young men and women, who have taken up some great opportunities with STEM employers.
One of the issues that they raised with me was the lack of information about non-trade apprenticeships when they were considering their career options.
In Parliament, I had the opportunity to ask the Minister for Women what more her department is doing to promote STEM apprenticeships for 16–18-year-olds, who may not want to pursue the university option. You can view my question here.
