Maggie Throup, Member of Parliament for Erewash, has taken delivery of her 2023 Halloween No Trick or Treat Cards. The popular free window cards will again be distributed across Erewash for local residents to collect and display in their windows.
These cards kindly request trick-or-treaters not to call at homes displaying the card, allowing Erewash residents to decide whether they wish to partake in Halloween activities or not.
Commenting on the launch of this year’s campaign, Maggie said:
With Halloween only a few weeks away, I am once again delighted to offer my popular Halloween No Trick or Treat Card to Erewash residents.
In recent years Halloween has become a big event in the UK, with more and more families taking part in trick-or-treating. This can be a great deal of fun, but for some, especially those who are elderly or vulnerable, it can be a really distressing time of year.
Therefore, the No Trick or Treat Cards, which politely ask trick-or-treaters not to call, are a simple but effective way of giving Erewash residents the choice of whether they want to take part or not. These cards help contribute to a safe and enjoyable Halloween experience for everyone.
My team will be out and about the area handing out the No Trick or Treat Cards, so please stop us and collect a card. Alternatively, Erewash residents can pop down to my community office in Ilkeston where my team will be delighted to give you a No Trick or Treat Card.
Maggie and her team will be out and about in both Ilkeston and Long Eaton Market Places over the coming weeks handing out the No Trick or Treat Card. The cards will also be available in local shops, town halls and libraries for residents to collect and a printable version can now be downloaded from Maggie’s website https://www.maggiethroup.com/halloween-2023.
You can also request your free No Trick or Treat Card by contacting Maggie’s community office on either 0115 930 0521 or via email at [email protected].
