This Organ Donation Week, I am urging Erewash residents to confirm their decision to be an organ donor.
Every day someone in the UK dies waiting for a transplant due to a shortage of people donating. At present, there are more than 7,000 people waiting for a transplant.
In Erewash 15 people are waiting for a transplant, yet there are only 41,019 people who have registered their organ donation decision.
I am urging Erewash residents to take two minutes of their time to confirm their decision to be an organ donor – doing so could help save up to nine lives!
