It is great news that as part of the AUKUS submarine programme Rolls Royce will create 1,110 new highly skilled jobs in Derby.
With many Rolls Royce employees living in Erewash, this will be welcome job security and strengthen skilled employment opportunities in the region.
The investment is recognition of the Government’s unwavering commitment to the defence nuclear sector and growing the UK economy.
