I was delighted to visit the 1st Sawley Scouts as they celebrated UK Parliament Week.
UK Parliament Week is a programme of events and activities that connects people with Parliament and democracy in the UK. The event is run every year. Last year over 1.1 million people took part in every nation and region of the UK, and countries all over the world.
The Scouts asked some fantastic questions, and it was great chatting to them about my work as a Member of Parliament. I hope that the range of fun activities and events held during UK Parliament Week will encourage some of the Scouts to engage in politics and perhaps one day become and MP!
