The Environment Agency has issued a be PREPARED flood alert for the River Erewash. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around Ilkeston and the recreation area at Sandiacre.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours and the Environment Agency expects rivers levels to remain high.
